This cultural cillage is located in Pasir Eurih village in Bogor region.
There are 28 houses situated on 8.600m2 area of village. These buildings used to be the houses of the tribe chiefs in the traditional Sundanese era.
The guests can stay and interact with the village’s residents. They can see and learn the daily lives of local people. The renting money are used by the residents to preserve their environment.
According to the statistic data issued by government cultural institution in Bogor, there are 78 cultural sites in Sindangbarang. Some of them are Jalatunda water source, bagenda Park, Punden Majusi, Menhir, Dolmen, and so on.
These are cultural sites located in the sacred village, rice fields or garden. It is likely that some other sites had been damaged or lost. Sindangbarang was the 20th cultural village in West Java.
According to the Vacation to Sindangbarang Cultural Village chief named Achmad Mikami Sumawijaya, the village’s cultural tradition had been lost for 32 years. Now, this cultural tradition becomes an attraction to the tourist. That’s way cultural tradition such as Seren Taun is now held on a regular basis.
